On a hot day, there really isn't anything a person would like more than to jump into a nice, refreshingly cool pool, right? We started off Saturday taking pictures in the park, then after that we drove to Grand Terrace to attend a city celebration. The heat was unbearable, probably in the upper 90's. I was still dressed in my photo attire, which consisted of long pants and a sweater ( note to self: don't do that again!). Walking around in that was like having on a fur coat in the desert. The kids were sweating like pigs and we couldn't get enough to drink. Later on in the day we went back to Grandma & Grandpa Cota's house for lunch and a dip in their kiddie pool. For the older kids it was a little too small for them and we thought for sure they wouldn't have too much fun, but I think they had more fun than the younger 3 kids.
